Laguna Beach - Undated
This is all probably my own stubborn fault. I don't think I want to be able to work & create successfully.
Dear Family,

I am here in Laguna Beach and I have my own place. It is a room in the Laguna Beach hippie hotel. The place is entirely run by and lived in by freaks.
Unfortunately, to pay for this room, I have had to secure regular employment. I am working for a landscaper and making $2.35 an hour. My more creative interests have had to be set aside though, because I just can't get the energy and the feeling together.
I am probably in a certain amount of trouble with the draft, because of my departure from Colorado before taking their physical. It doesn't matter much, though, because I don't think they want me anyway and besides, I won't go.
The weather here is beautiful, and anytime I'm not working, I am on the beach. My tan is darker than it's been in years.
I wrote a fairly long letter to Joanie and then discovered I had lost her address. I would appreciate it if you would send it to me at my new address:
1289 S. Coast Highway
Laguna Beach, Cal.

Write and tell me what you're up to.

Love,
Bobby
